The Melissa Crozier Writers Bursary - 2nd year
The Melissa Crozier Writers Bursary is an initiative designed to support emerging screenwriters in the Canadian Screen Industry.
Offered annually over three years, this bursary awards one recipient a full scholarship to participate in Second Draft - Screenwriting for TV Series, a four-day professional development program from WIFT+Toronto. In memory of Melissa, who had a deep passion for film and storytelling. It provides a full scholarship to participate in a Screenwriting for TV Series program, along with a $500 honorarium and additional benefits. Take place October 2026. This program is presented by Ontario Creates.

Winner of the 2025 Melissa Crozier Writers Bursary
Women In Film & Television Toronto is thrilled to announce Andrea Scott as the inaugural recipient of the Melissa Crozier Writers Bursary! Andrea has been a screenwriter since 2018. She won the Magee Diversity Screenwriter's Award for her first script, 'Dust to Dust,' with Marsha Green as her mentor and her dark comedy "Bad Habits" landed her a job in the Porter (BET/CBC) writers' room. Worked on 3 seasons of Murdoch Mysteries and was a writer on ABC Signature' 'High Poential'. Congratulations Andrea, we cannot wait to see more of your stories come to life.

The Melissa Crozier 1st Charity Game
An annual event honouring the life and memory of Melissa Crozier. All proceeds from the event is donated to Sick Kids Hospital, supporting their vital work.
